Bishkek, Jan.16, 2025. /Kabar/ . Kyrgyzstan’s national canoeing team returned from the Asian Cup Canoe Competition, which was held in Hong Kong, China, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.
The national team won 7 gold and 1 silver medal.
National athletes Rodion Tuigunov won 3 gold medals at distances of 1000 m, 200 m and 23 km in single race. In doubles events at 1000 m and 500 m, Kyrgyzstanis Erlan Sultangaziev and Rysbek Tolomushev won gold medals.
Erlan Sultangaziev also won the 200m canoe race. Rysbek Tolomushev became the winner in 1000 m in canoe and took second place in 200 m in canoe.
The team was coached by Elena Bukhantsova and Viktor Churakaev.
