Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2020. /Kabar/ Negotiations are under way with Russia to purchase a vaccine against coronavirus, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Elvira Surabaldiyeva said during an online briefing.
According to her, in August a letter was sent to Russia with a request to import Russian-made vaccines into Kyrgyzstan - from the date of their testing and approval for general treatment.
"The number of vaccines, arrival and registration schedules have been developed in Kyrgyzstan. Our experts visited Moscow to get acquainted with the development and clinical trials of the Sputnik-V vaccine," Surabaldiyeva said.
“Kyrgyzstan is also monitoring the effectiveness of vaccines produced in other countries. If the vaccines preferred by the World Health Organization are ready, Kyrgyzstan's position on them is already ready," the deputy prime minister noted.
