Kyrgyzstani athletes reach semifinals of Asian Boxing Championships

Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . Teammates of boxing team of Kyrgyzstan Nuradin Rustambek uulu, Mirzokhid Imamnazarov and Ryspek Bektenov advanced to the semi-finals of the Asian U-22 Championship, held in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent on Jan. 20.

Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported that Nuradin Rustambek uulu (weight category up to 71 kg) won athlete from Tajikistan Khurshed Usvaliev with a score of 0:5.

Besides, Kyrgyzstani Mirzokhid Imamnazarov (up to 63.5kg) took a victory over Japanese boxer Kitamoto Shunsuke with the score 2:3, and Ryspek Bektenov (up to 60 kg) won the opponent from Sri Lanka Gadul Passara Lekam Gedara.

The championships will last until Jan. 30.
