Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstani Jyrgal Orosbayev won a silver medal at the World Powerlifting Cup, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports reported.
The tournament among athletes with muscle-skeleton disorders was held in the city of Dubai (United Arab Emirates), in which Paralympian from the Kyrgyz Republic competed in the weight category up to 107 kg.
From the first attempt Orosbayev raised the barbell weighing 202 kg. The second time – 205 kg, but the judges did not count this attempt. In the end, he tackled 206 kg, thereby becoming the owner of the "silver" of the competition.
The first place was taken by the representative of Mongolia Sodnompilji Enkhbayar (240 kg). The bronze medal went to Iranian Abbas Naisan (203 kg).
Earlier, at these competitions, another athlete from Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Zamirbek uulu had taken the prize, he won a bronze award.
