Kyrgyzstani Miyarov wins bronze of ultramarathon in Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Oct.7, 2019 /Kabar/. Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Kazbek Miyarov won the third place at 24-hour ultramarathon in Kazakhstan, the sportsman said.

The competition was held on Oct. 5-6 in Nur Sultan (Astana). Runners had to overcome 100 kilometers.

Miyarov performed in the age group from 18 to 45 years old. In 24 hours, the Kyrgyz athlete covered 120.64 km, becoming a bronze medalist in the competition.

An ultramarathon, also called ultra distance or ultra running, is any footrace longer than the traditional marathon length of 42.195 kilometres (26.219 mi).
