Kyrgyzstani swimmer Petrashov wins gold medal at Maccabiah Games

Bishkek, July 18, 2022. /Kabar/. Tel Aviv, Israel is hosting on July 12-26 the Maccabiah Games - international sports competitions, modeled on the Olympic Games, which take place in Israel every four years.

At this sporting event domestic swimmer Denis Petrashov took the first place in the 200m breaststroke, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture reported Monday.

The Games are considered to be the third largest mass sporting event in the world. The competition will last two weeks. More than ten thousand athletes from 60 countries compete for awards.

Competitions are held in 42 sports.
