Kyrgyzstani Tynybekova reaches finals of Asian wrestling championship

Bishkek, April 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstani athlete Aisuluu Tynybekova (weight category up to 62 kg) reached the finals of the Asian Wrestling Championship in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).

Tynybekova began her entry into the tournament at the 1/4 stage.

In the tournament's first bout, the national athlete defeated Mongolia's Boldsaikhan Khongorzulga with 7:3, and in the semi-finals she took victory over Nabira Yesenbayeva from Uzbekistan. At first Tynybekova took a 6:0 lead and then she put her opponent down in a barnburner.

In the final, Aisuluu Tynybekova will face Japan's Nonoka Ozaki.

Aisuluu Tynybekova is the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo (2020), two-time world champion, four-time champion of Asia in women's wrestling.

The national team of the Kyrgyz Republic has already won eight medals at this tournament:

Greco-Roman wrestling:

3 golds - Akzhol Makhmudov (up to 77 kg), Tynar Sharshenbekov (up to 63 kg), Zholaman Sharshenbekov (up to 60 kg);

3 bronzes - Roman Kim (up to 130 kg), Adilkhan Nurlanbekov (up to 72 kg) and Uzur Zhuzupbekov (97 kg).

Women wrestling:

1 gold - Aiperi Medet kyzy (up to 76 kg);

1 silver - Meerim Zhumanazarova ( up to 68kg).

A total of 21 wrestlers represent Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Championships in Mongolia.
