Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . Female wrestler from Kyrgyzstan Aisuluu Tynybekova retained the first place in the world ranking of the United World Wrestling (UWW).
According to the press service of the UWW, Tynybekova performing in the weight category up to 62kg, took the second place at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. She lost to Japanese representative Yukako Kawai. Nevertheless, the Kyrgyzstani managed to keep her first place in the ranking.
Another athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Greco-Roman wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov, who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, moved up to second place in this ranking.
The first place is occupied by Hungary's Tamas Loerincz, whom Makhmudov lost to in the final.
Kyrgyzstan won 3 medals at the 2020 Olympics. National female wrestlers Aisuluu Tynybekova and Meerim Zhumanazarova have won silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Greco-Roman wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov have earned a silver medal.
A total of 16 athletes represented the republic at the main sporting event.
