Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2022. / Kabar /. From year to year, the number of bank payment cards is increasing, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to data of the financial regulator, the total number of bank payment cards issued as of November 1, 2022 amounted to more than 4.8 million units, having increased by 35.3% over the year, of which the number of cards of the national Elcart system amounted to more than 2.8 million.
According to the results of 9 months of 2022, the number of transactions using cards conducted through POS-terminals in trade and service enterprises amounted to 39.2 million transactions or 44.1 percent of all transactions, and the volume of transactions using cards amounted to 53 billion 63.1 million KGS or 15.2% of the total volume of transactions.
