Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstanis take part in the international festival-fair of traditional crafts “Surajkund Mela” in the Indian city of Faridabad.
The fair started on February 2 and will end on February 18. More than 20 foreign countries and Indian states are participating in it.
The Kyrgyz pavilion will present Kyrgyz white honey, dried fruits, handmade wool and silk products, as well as various souvenirs.
Kyrgyz national dances, songs and melodies are performed daily at the main festival site and at the parade of participants in the morning and evening.
Surajkund Mela is a stylized fair of handicrafts from Indian states and foreign countries, held regularly since 1981 by the Tourism Department of the Government of Haryana with the assistance of the central government ministries (tourism, textiles, foreign affairs and culture). This year the exhibition is being held for the 37th time.
