Kyrgyzstanis to be evacuated from Ukraine through Hungary

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and foreign institutions worked out the issue of transit evacuation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan from Ukraine through Hungary (Budapest-Istanbul-Bishkek).

The press service of the Kyrgyz MFA reported that following conditions must be met for evacuation:

1. Citizens of Kyrgyzstan must stay on the territory of Ukraine legally and have the appropriate documents with them;

2. They must have travel documents (air tickets) confirming their transit through the territory of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kyrgyzstanis will be taken to the Chop checkpoint at their own expense, then they will be accompanied by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Hungary on the territory of Hungary to the airport.

The Kyrgyz MFA reports that situation in the cities of Ukraine is assessed as unstable and unsafe. In this regard, it recommends Kyrgyzstanis, temporarily or permanently staying on the territory of Ukraine, if there is a safe place to stay in their places of compact residence until the situation is stabilized.
