Kyrgyzstanis to take part in Children of Asia winter games in Russia

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2019. /Kabar/. The Children of Asia international sport games will start in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Russia) on February 8, in which athletes from Kyrgyzstan will take part, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports reported.

The country will be represented by

Biathlon – Islam Turgunbaev, Musa Rahmanberdi uulu and Alexander Levdansky;

Figure skating – Alex Nam and Eva Yakovleva. Coach Vladimir Bitner;

Alpine skiing – Kubatbek Yusupov, Violetta Korosteleeva and Erlan Stanbekov. Coach Ivan Borisov.

The head of the delegation is Nargiza Bakeeva.

The I Children of Asia international sport winter games are held in order to promote the ideas of the Olympic movement and development of youth sports. During the tournament, competitions in 8 sports are planned: figure skating; hockey; short track; skiing; snowboard; biathlon; ski race; ski jumping.

Age of participants – 16 and younger.

The event will end on February 17.
