Kyrgyzstanis win 11 medals at traditional wushu tournament in Moscow

Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2019. /Kabar/. The traditional wushu team from Kyrgyzstan won 11 medals at the Moscow Stars 2019 international tournament, the Federation for this sport reported.

The largest sporting event, in which more than 900 athletes from 22 countries took part, ended yesterday. Participants competed in different styles and directions of wushu: Shaolin, Southern style, Wing Chun, Bagua and others. The technique of working with a sword, sabers, spears and halberds was demonstrated.

Under the leadership of Yevgeny Lopatkin, Kyrgyzstan was represented by 8 athletes who won five gold, four silver and two bronze awards afterwards.

Eles Kokumbek Kyzy and Aisalkyn Tashmatova took the gold medal in technique of the conventional bouts. In competitions with swords, short range weapons and taiji, Natalia Nescheret won the first place.
