Kyrgyzstan's achievements in digitalization presented in Estonia

Bishkek, Dec.12, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan Nuriya Kutnaeva visited Estonia to participate in a two-day workshop, organized by the United Nations Department of Public Administration and Digital Government (UN DESA) together with the Estonian government as part of the Tallinn Digital Summit.

The event was dedicated to sharing experiences in digital transformation and disseminating best practices of digitalization in the public sector. The participants discussed key findings of the UN Global e-Government Survey, digital development strategies, as well as tools and methodologies for self-assessment of the level of e-government development, thew Digital Development Ministry reported.

In her speech, Nuriya Kutnaeva presented the achievements of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of digitalization. She emphasized that the country is actively implementing digital solutions aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of public services for citizens. Special attention was paid to the successful launch of a number of digital initiatives, provision of online services for the population and improvement of IT infrastructure.

Along with this, the minister noted the importance of taking into account the current state of digitalization in the formation of international rankings, which is crucial for an objective analysis of the progress achieved.

According to the existing methodology, the data for the UN Global e-Government Survey was collected in August 2023, while the publication of the results took place in October 2024. This created a time gap that may affect the accuracy of the reflection of the current achievements of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of digitalization.
