Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Tilek Toktogaziyev claimed that livestock is being smuggled abroad.
During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the minister told about his visit to Sosnovka for monitoring.
According to Toktogaziyev, two trucks loaded with 30 cows each passed through in an hour.
"More than half of the cows were without tags," he said.
The agriculture minister said a working group will be created to work out mechanisms to prevent exporting live cattle abroad.
Besides, Toktogaziyev noted fairs are being organized on weekends in order to reduce food prices.
"The prices are lower there because products are sold without intermediaries. For example, meat is KGS 70-80 cheaper than at the market," he said.
