Bishkek , March 24, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture and Regional Development Askarbek Dzhanybekov met on Tuesday with Chairman of the Union of Milk Processors Suyunbek Kadyrov.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues on the price of acceptance of milk from farmers, the introduction of a unified pricing policy and the purchasing price of milk across the country, as well as the quality and fat content of milk produced, and imported milk and dairy products, the press service of the Agriculture Ministry said.
The minister and the chairman also debated a creation of a working group, which will develop a plan of comprehensive measures to develop a unified basis for the acceptance and fat content of milk, quality and logistics (transportation), taxes, antibiotics for milk and dairy products.
As a result of the meeting, it is planned to create a working group and based on the results of this working group, the minister will gather all milk processors, major dairy producers, exporters and importers in order to develop a unified policy in the dairy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.
