Kyrgyzstan's business ombudsman makes proposals on investor support amid COVID-19 pandemic

Bishkek, June 15, 2020. /Kabar/. Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic Robin Ord-Smith held a meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy PM Erkin Asrandiyev, the press service of the Business Ombudsman Institute (BOI) reported.

During the meeting, the business ombudsman raised several issues related to the support of businesses and entrepreneurs of Kyrgyzstan.

The sides discussed the start and interim results of the BOI activities, the nature and trends of the complaints submitted, the progress of investigations conducted by the Business Ombudsman.

Measures of the Kyrgyz Government taken to support entrepreneurs and recover the economy after COVID-19 pandemic and state of emergency were mentioned separately.

Robin Ord-Smith made his proposals and recommendations on supporting investors, improving the investment climate and simplifying business conditions.

In conclusion, the parties discussed further measures to strengthen cooperation in protecting the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs and business representatives.
