Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2020. /Kabar/. The Central Commission for Elections and Referendum of the Kyrgyz Republic accredited 42 international observers. This decision was taken Tuesday at a meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the press service of the CEC reported.
The Central Commission for Elections and Referendum of the Kyrgyz Republic at its meeting on Sept. 22, 2020, decided to accredit representatives of international (countries of Commonwealth of Independent States, CIS - Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan) and diplomatic organizations (Japanese and German ambassadors to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as their deputies, state secretaries of embassies, heads of departments) as international observers at the elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic with the issuance of a standard certificate.
Kyrgyzstan's parliamentary elections are scheduled for Oct. 4, 2020, and 15 political parties have been registered to run.
Also, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will deploy 24 long-term and 350 short-term observers in the republic.
