Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2021. /Kabar/. Access has been ensured for people with disabilities at the early presidential elections of the Kyrgyz Republic and the referendum on the form of government, Chairwoman of the republic’s Central Commission for Elections and Referendum Nurzhan Shaildabekova said at a briefing on Sunday.
According to her, in order to provide access for people with disabilities to vote, the issue of providing a ramp was raised at all the polling stations. To date, more than 84% of polling stations are provided with a ramp.
"Taking into account the epidemiological situation, premises at all polling stationswere disinfected. The whole algorithm of actions, which is approved by the Ministry of Health, will be observed during the elections. Each polling station is provided with all the necessary PPE and disinfection," Shaildabekova added.
Kyrgyzstan is holding on Sunday presidential elections, as well as the referendum on the form of the government.
