Bishkek, June 13, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added on Saturday 41 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 2207.
Nurbolot Usenbaev, the country’s deputy health minister told a news briefing that 3158 laboratory tests were carried out over the past day. As a result, 41 new cases were detected.
Of the new confirmed cases, 14 cases were identified among the contact persons, 18 are unknown sources and 9 are imported cases, he said.
Among the newly infected 4 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 429, including 339 recoveries.
The official reported one new virus related death.
54 were recovered and discharged from hospitals in the past day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1722.
Currently, 457 people remained hospitalized, and 2 patients are in intensive care.
In addition, 1404 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation and another 9419 people are in home quarantine under the supervision of doctors.
