Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Secretary of Kyrgyz Security Council, coordinator of power structures, Major General Omurbek Suvanaliyev met Thursday with Ozonnia Ojielo, the UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
During the meeting the issues of the current difficult socio-political situation in Kyrgyzstan were discussed. According to Suvanaliyev, there are attempts of provocative elements to exacerbate the situation. Despite this, power structures and law enforcement agencies and law enforcement agencies have sufficient forces and means to control the situation.
Omurbek Suvanaliyev also noted that power structures and law enforcement agencies are out of politics.
In his turn, Mr. Ozonnia Ojielo expressed the concern of the UN in the current situation in Kyrgyzstan and is ready to provide the necessary assistance and support to Kyrgyzstan to stabilize the socio-political situation. He noted that UN Secretary General António Guterres is aware of all ongoing events in the country and wishes a speedy solution to the political crisis.
At the end of the meeting, Suvanaliyev thanked the UN in the person of Ozonnia Ojielo for the support provided.
