Kyrgyzstan’s COVID-19 cases exceed 47,000

Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2020 / Kabar /. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan rose to 47,056 on Friday, after an overnight registration of 215 new cases.

Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbaev said that among the new cases 28 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 3294.

He also reported the recovery of 154 more patients, raising the total recoveries in the country to 43,137.

The death toll stands at 1,065, no death was registered over the past day.

Currently, 910 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country, 16 are in critical condition in intensive care, while 1,489 patients are receiving treatment at home.

“667 people are in a state of moderate severity, 194 are in a grave condition and 16 are in an extremely grave condition in intensive care. Professors and doctors give their recommendations in fighting coronavirus in the south of the country. Also Deputy Minister of Health Mademin Karataev is in the south of the country,” he said.

According to data of the headquarters, the current recovery rate of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan is 91,6 percent and the fatality rate is 2,2 percent.
