Kyrgyzstan’s COVID-19: Number of new detected cases two times exceeds daily recoveries

Bishkek, April 8, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan , 111 more people have cured of the novel coronavirus in the past day, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said on Thursday.

According to the report, 85,607 Kyrgyzstanis have recovered from the disease since the outbreak of the virus.

The country’s nationwide number of cases of coronavirus has amounted to 89,660 after 222 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours.

The pandemic has so far claimed 1,516 lives in Kyrgyzstan, up by 3 in the past 24 hours.

Currently, 712 coronavirus patients are receiving treatment in hospitals throughout the country, with 24 of them in critical condition. Another 870 patients are receiving treatment at home.

3,924 tests for the virus have been carried out in the country over the past day.
