Bishkek, June 3, 2021 . / Kabar / . The State Customs Service under the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan has developed a project of a new digital platform “Smart Bazhy” (Smart Customs Service), Deputy Chairman of the Customs Service Kubanych Shatemirov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The purpose of creating the digital platform is to provide a favorable environment for the subjects of foreign economic activity, as well as improving the quality of customs regulations, which contributes to increased investment in the country’s economy.
"Currently, the customs service is using a unified automated information system developed in 2010, but today the system is considered outdated. In this regard, we have developed a new and improved digital platform "Smart Bazhy," he said.
In addition, the deputy chairman pointed out that the implementation of this project is divided into stages from 2021-2023.
Thus, the achievement of the goals will be ensured by:
- full transition to electronic declaration;
- automatic release of goods;
- use of "green corridors" in the movement of goods and vehicles (including through the categorization of traders);
- launch of electronic declaration centers;
- deep integration with business platforms;
- full implementation of the "One Stop" principle in the implementation of control functions at checkpoints.
Local IT-companies will work on the creation of "Smart Bazhy" platform in order to develop domestic expertise.
