Kyrgyzstan's death toll from COVID-19 reaches 11

Bishkek, May 5, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, a man previously diagnosed with COVID-19 coronavirus infection died in the past day, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said Tuesday.

He specified that a 69-year-old COVID-19 patient died at the Republican Infectious Disease Hospital in Bishkek.

"The man was also diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, acute respiratory failure of the third degree, cerebral edema. The patient also was suffering from diabetes and was receiving insulin," added Usenbayev.

He explained the deceased was a contact person. His daughter worked at Family Practice Center No. 3.

A total of 11 people with the diagnosis of coronavirus infection died in Kyrgyzstan.

13 new COVID-19 cases have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, bringing the total to 843, including 217 cases among medical workers.

600 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals.
