Bishkek, Nov.15, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Temirbek Erkinov met with Ambassador of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan Ali Jaber Mohammed Al Ghufran Al Marri.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the whole range of Kyrgyz-Qatari cooperation, as well as discussed the prospects for its further development and activation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Having noted with satisfaction last year's historic visit of Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Kyrgyzstan, the parties discussed further concrete steps to implement the agreements reached during this visit.
In particular, Deputy Minister Erkinov and Ambassador Ali Jaber Al Marri considered the organization of mutual visits at high and the highest level, as well as a number of visits of state and other bodies of the two countries.
They also discussed issues on attracting direct investments of Qatar in Kyrgyzstan in the field of aviation, development of infrastructure projects, tourism, expansion of mutual trade, cooperation in such sectors as IT technologies, Islamic banking, implementation of the program of construction of social housing in Kyrgyzstan, as well as expanded cooperation in the field of charity.
Special attention was paid to the activities of the Kyrgyz-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission and discussed the dates of its next meeting.
