Kyrgyzstan's Deputy PM Madumarov conducts meeting on border issues

Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akram Madumarov held online meeting on border issues, the press service of the Government reported.

Current issues related to the activities of the Border Issues Secretariat, State Agency on Land Resources under the Government, State Border Service under the Government, Batken Oblast state administration were discussed during the meeting.

Akram Madumarov noted the importance of continuing a qualitative study of border issues within the framework of previously reached agreements, as well as on the development of border cooperation.

The meeting participants also considered issues, related to the implementation of decisions of the Security Council and the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) on the social and economic development of border territories.

As a result of the meeting, a number of instructions were given to the relevant state and local self-government bodies, including on strengthening security measures in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.

In connection with the spring field work, the leadership of Batken Oblast was instructed to take special control over the use of water resources in the border areas in accordance with previously reached agreements between neighboring states.
