Deputy PM Ismailova meets with UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Apr.8, 2020./Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aida Ismailova met with UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic Ozonnia Ojielo and representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Kyrgyzstan Nazira Artykova.

The meeting was held at the initiative of the international organizations, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said.

Deputy PM Ismailova noted the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic makes every effort to prevent further spread of coronavirus infection.

In his turn, Ozonnia Ojielo expressed full support to Aida Ismailova.

"We are ready to provide all necessary assistance to Kyrgyzstan, especially when the country is faced with an unforeseen situation. The Emergency Response Coordination Unit has now been activated and eight priority areas for cooperation have been identified," he added.

WHO representative Nazira Artykova presented the Organization's recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection.

The sides also discussed social and economic measures needed to overcome the consequences of the pandemic.

Aida Ismailova expressed gratitude to international organizations for assistance and cooperation.
