Kyrgyzstan’s construction industry dev't strategy to create conditions for investors

Bishkek, Jan.23, 2020. /Kabar/. At the press conference at Kabar News Agency, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Akmataliyev told about the recently approved development strategy of construction industry.

The Government of the country has approved the construction industry development strategy until 2030, along with a new version of the Regulations on the procedure for issuing permits for construction.

"The two main documents, adopted by the Government, should serve the further development of the construction industry in the country and create conditions for investors in construction activities," the deputy chairman said.

According to Akmataliyev, the strategy focuses on developing the production of construction materials, improving the legal framework and investment in this area.

"All measures laid down in the strategy should serve the further development of architecture in the country, and as a result- to create a construction complex that could compete with the construction industries of CIS and EAEU member states,” he concluded.

The strategy covers descriptions of the current state of the construction industry, defines the priorities of the goals and objectives in the directions of development that affect the achievement of the Road Map targets for the implementation of Digital Kyrgyzstan 2019-2023 digital transformation.

The Builders' Union, the Architects' Union, JIA, the Institute for Strategic Studies, economists and representatives of business communities were involved in the strategy’s development.
