Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2023 . / Kabar / . Minister of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan Nuriya Kutnaeva took part in the Global Gateway forum organized by the European Union, held in Brussels on Oct. 25-26.
The Ministry of Digital Development said that during the visit, Kutnaeva attended a high-level panel session on digital infrastructure and spoke about the achievements and progress of Kyrgyzstan in the field of digitalization in recent years, and thanked the European Union for providing long-term support in this area.
She also spoke about the current successes of broadband implementation, the DIGITAL CASA project and the high level of coverage of the population with mobile Internet. The minister dwelled in detail on the Tunduk digital platform, which provides a secure exchange of electronic data between government agencies and commercial organizations and significantly simplifies the plight of citizens in obtaining public services.
Kutnaeva shared the country's experience in introducing digital documents that have legal recognition in the country and demonstrated a digital passport and driver's license to the session participants.
Further, Minister Kutnaeva, together with Vice-President of the European Commission Vera Jourova organized a special side event on the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union in the field of digital development.
