Kyrgyzstan's economic growth rate made 3.6% last year

Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2022 . / Kabar / . The main result of the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan in 2021 was a positive GDP growth rate. This was stated at a meeting of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce on the results of work for 2021.

First Deputy Minister Seyilbek Urustemov noted that the gross domestic product amounted to KGS 723.1 billion, and the real growth rate was 103.6%.

"The total volume of total revenues of the republican budget reached KGS 187.4 billion. In comparison with the corresponding figure in 2020, the growth of revenues was KGS 53 billion, or 139.2%due to fiscalization and taking the economy out of the shadows," he said.

The deputy minister recalled that in 2021 Kumtor Gold Company CJSC was introduced a temporary external management. "The company continued to work on gold production and showed sustainability of production processes, despite all the difficulties," he stressed.

In addition, Urustemov said that in order to improve the availability of loans to small and medium-sized businesses, capitalization of commercial banks with state participation Aiyl Bank and RSK Bank for additional KGS 4 billion was conducted.

The Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund ($200 million) and the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund ($50 million) were established.
