Fashion exhibition. The first international specialized Fashion and Textiles exhibition opened in Bishkek.
The exhibition presented products of the world-famous manufacturers of clothing, accessories, fabrics from Turkey, where the textile expositions presented are of interest to residents and manufacturers of Kyrgyzstan, wholesale buyers of Turkish production in Bishkek.

The opening ceremony was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Firat, vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Rima Apasova, president of the Association of Markets and Business of the Kyrgyz Republic Sergey Ponomarev, etc.
Repatriation of stolen assets. Senior Bureau Official in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Ambassador Alice G. Wells, and Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, Baktygul Jeenbaeva, announced the repatriation of stolen assets to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic arising from the corruption and theft of government funds by the prior regime of Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his son Maxim Bakiyev.

Currently, $4.6 million of the $6 million under the forfeiture order has been recovered and will be repatriated to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic plans to use these funds to purchase additional recording equipment for use in the justice sector, water filtering systems for rural areas, and medical technology.
Directly for export. The State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that a slaughter shop of Adal-Azyk LLC from Naryn oblast, which can now directly export raw meat to Russia, has entered the Eurasian Economic Union Unified Register.

Adal-Azyk LLC entered the Unified Register of the EAEU and was able to export large and small cattle meat, as well as horse meat.
In addition, 5 more slaughter shops are being prepared for inspection for compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union and the EAEU.
Premium for quality. This week, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic held the ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition for the Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic for quality.

Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov noted that the competition was held under the motto: “Quality and safety: the way to high standards of living!”. It was attended by 92 organizations in the field of tourism and hotel services from various regions of the country.
Quality prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic are awarded annually on a competitive basis for achieving significant results in ensuring the quality of products or services, ensuring their safety, meeting the conditions for producing products or providing services, as well as meeting customer requirements, introducing highly efficient systems and management methods.
Currency market. The situation in the domestic foreign exchange market of Kyrgyzstan is generally stable and does not create significant risks.
Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov said that, the forecasts for the development of the economies of the countries-trading partners of Kyrgyzstan and the emerging domestic economic conditions make it possible to expect positive trends to continue in the short and medium term.

“According to the forecasts of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the absence of shocks, inflation in the medium term will not exceed the monetary policy target of 5-7%. Under these conditions, it was decided to reduce the discount rate (to 4.5%). In case of occurrence of inflation risks, the National Bank may consider the possibility of adjusting the current monetary policy direction,” explained Abdygulov.
Japan’s experience. This week, a seminar was held at the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic on the organization and management of Entrepreneurial Service Centers on the example of Japan’s experience.

The goal and expected result of the seminar was: to familiarize with the practice of creating and managing the Japan Business Service Centers and discussing the best way to develop such centers in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Eldar Abakirov thanked the Japan International Development Agency (JICA) and the OSCE Program Office for assisting in the creation of Entrepreneurship Service Centers (CSC) in the KR.
Rehabilitation of the bank. The first stage of rehabilitation of Rosinbank OJSC is completed. Tolkunbek Abdygulov told at a press conference at Kabar Agency noted that the capitalization process of "Rosinbank" was completed.

“Currently, the question of the future fate of the bank is being considered. We will let you know about the sale or further capitalization of the bank as soon as a decision is made,” he said.
Abdygulov stressed that the first stage of rehabilitation was completed successfully. The bank performs all its functions at 100%.
Saudi Arabia is being opened. This week, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Deputy Chairman of the Board, Executive Director of the Saudi Development Fund Khalid bin Salim Al-Khudayri in Riyadh.

During the conversation, the sides expressed satisfaction with the expansion of credit and grant cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Saudi Arabia, and also exchanged views on the stages of consideration of infrastructure projects submitted by the Kyrgyz side to the Fund.
In particular, the Executive Director H.Al-Khudeyri said that at present the Foundation has approved a number of projects in the field of health, education, agricultural, irrigation sectors of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of $ 30 million. In addition, the Saudi side assured that in 2019 it is planned to increase funding for projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The rich get richer. The distribution of total cash income by quintile groups of the population is in favor of 20% of the population with the highest incomes, who have more than 45% of all cash income.

Such data was published this week in the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic in the “Information bulletin of the Kyrgyz Republic on food security and poverty”
According to the bulletin, the main sources of monetary incomes of the population were incomes from labor activity, whose share in the income structure was 71.5%, incomes from social transfers - 14.6% and from the sale of agricultural products produced in personal farms - 9.9%.
The average per capita real money incomes of the population in January-September 2018 amounted to 5494.2 soms per month and increased by 16.3% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
Foods to Qatar. Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan Nurbek Murashev met with Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Sueti.

During the meeting the Kyrgyz minister discussed with the Qatar ambassador the issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector between the two states. In particular, the sides discussed issues regarding the supply of Kyrgyz agricultural products to the Qatar market.
Murashev noted that the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan is currently involved in the development of a draft Agreement on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine between the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of Qatar. He also noted that Kyrgyzstan will consider all proposals for cooperation in the export of Kyrgyz products to Qatar, in particular honey, dried fruits and meat products.
