Grow of export-oriented products. Kyrgyzstan will begin to focus on growing export-oriented products since 2019. Zhanybek Kerimaliev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration said that exports of high demand goods abroad will begin starting since 2019.

"Export-oriented products include: apples, apricots, prunes from Aksy region. Also strawberries, raspberries are popular. It should be noted that Kyrgyzstan's cherry sweet cherry began to be exported to China," he said.

Also popular are onions and carrots. "There is no need to talk about beans, because it is our brand," the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture added.

International Industrial Park. Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Ryskulov and chairwoman of the Association of Construction and Finishing Materials of Guangdong Province, head of the Tanguan Building Materials Association Fan Lan signed a memorandum.

The document provides for cooperation of the parties in the promotion of the project to create the International Industrial Park of Building Materials, Furniture, Electronics and Household Appliances in Kyrgyzstan.

The investment project is expected to invest $ 150 million.

In accordance with the agreement, the investor undertakes to complete the implementation of the Investment Project until 2023 (5 years) of the year.

New project of RKDF. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) has announced a tender, according to which companies with a business project from $ 0.5 to 6 million and working in the sectors of agriculture, light industry, machine building, chemical and food industries, and the IT sector are invited to participate in it.

Regional production enterprises focused on export and import substitution are of advantage.

The term of the Fund's participation in the enterprise is up to 7 years, the amount of the project includes the own contribution of the initiator and / or co-investor in the amount of at least 25% of the total cost.

Financing from RKDF will be directed to purchase of equipment for modernization and expansion of existing or creation of new production and construction works.

Georgian vector. Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov and Ambassador of Georgia Zurab Abashidze discussed trade and economic relations and noted that the current level of trade does not reflect the full potential of bilateral cooperation.

The sides discussed issues of intensifying cooperation by facilitating the establishment of business contacts and holding the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Georgian commission on trade and economic cooperation in 2019. Moreover, Minister Pankratov expressed interest in sharing experience in the field of economic reform, tourism development, cooperation with the European Union, as well as airport reconstruction with the participation of foreign companies.

Abashidze told about the issues of Kyrgyz-Georgian cooperation, about preparations for the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev to Georgia and the prospects for cooperation through the state bodies of the two countries.

The ambassador informed about the changes in the Georgian government and the tourism potential of Georgia.

The sides also discussed the possibilities of transit of goods through the territory of Georgia, following to Kyrgyzstan.

GDP did not grow. In recent months, the slowdown in economic growth has been observed in Kyrgyzstan.

According to data of specialists of the National Statistics Committee, the gross domestic product (GDP) for the first six months was estimated at 213 billion 640.3 million soms and increased by 0.1%. For the same period last year, GDP growth, as it was specified, was 5.6%.

Without taking into account the enterprises for the development of the Kumtor field, the GDP in this period amounted to about 193 billion soms and increased by 2.1%.

External trading partners. Foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan for the period from January to May of this year by preliminary assessment amounted to $ 2 billion 716 million. According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the volume of foreign trade, compared with the same period last year, increased by 20.9%. Including exports increased by 5.5%, and imports - by 27.1%.

The volume of foreign trade of the republic with the members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) amounted $ to 904 million and increased compared to January-May of last year by 6.5%. At the same time, imports of goods increased by 1.6%, export supplies - 21.2%.

The largest share of Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade with the EEU member states of the falls on Russia (65.2%) and Kazakhstan (33.2%).

The volume of trade with China for the period was about $ 900 million, where the share of imports was $ 881.2, and $ 28.8 million - export.

The volume of mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan with the countries of the European Union has reached $ 385.7 million. It should be noted that here the share of exports exceeds the share of imports in the ratio of $ 253.1 million to $ 132.6 million.

The industry slowed. For the first half of this year, the volume of industry decreased in Kyrgyzstan by 6% compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 108 billion 652.8 million soms.

According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, this is due to a reduction in indicators in heavy industries: mining of metal ores by 52.8%, production of vehicles by 24.8%, machinery and equipment by 20.4%, base metals by 14.4%.

Along with this, there was growth in light industry: in textile production 1.7 times, clothes - 24.8%, as well as rubber and plastic products.

External debt. As of the end of 2017, the total amount of the nominal external debt of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to data of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, amounted to $ 4,080.6 million or as a percentage of GDP - 53.9%.

89% of the total debt on multilateral loans fell on liabilities to the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

In the bilateral debt structure, the main creditors of Kyrgyzstan are China, Russia and Japan, which together made 90.0% of bilateral debt.

Kumtor and 8 billion. For 21 years, Kyrgyzstan has earned only $ 8 billion from sale of Kumtor’s gold.

According to data of First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Mining Geologists Duishenbek Kamchybekov, based on the analysis, to date, from 1996 to 2017, Kumtor produced 457 tons of gold. About 360 tons of them were sold.

"The total revenue received from the sale of gold since 1996 amounted to $ 8.1 billion. Of this amount, Kyrgyzstan received $ 1 billion 215 million in the form of deductions and taxes, and in the form of other purchases - $3 billion 100 million. That is, only 40% of the total profit is left in Kyrgyzstan," said Duishenbek Kamchybekov.

Temporary low rates. The lowering of rates of customs duties on imported cars and the introduction of a zero rate on electric vehicles is only a temporary phenomenon.

According to expert of the customs-tariff policy department of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Aidar Samykbaev, the decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the rates for imported cars ends on December 31, 2019. After this period, Kyrgyzstan will follow the agreement of the Eurasian Economic Union and establish uniform rates of duties and taxes, as well as all member countries of the Union.

Energy flow. Since the beginning of the year, Kyrgyzstan has produced 8 billion kWh of electricity, which is 300 million kWh, or 4% more than in 2017 for the period from January to June.

Chairman of the board of the National Energy Holding Company Azamat Abdykadyrov, during the meeting of the working group for the preparation for the heating season, said that 92% of the total volume of generated energy was produced in hydroelectric power stations (7.3 billion kWh) and 8% at Bishkek's power station (676 million kWh).

According to his data, a high level of electricity production is ensured with sufficient water level at the country's hydropower plants. As of April, the water volume in the Toktogul reservoir amounted to 14.4 billion cubic meters, today this figure has risen to 17.9 billion cubic meters.
