Railway in the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia. In the framework of the construction of the Uzbekistan - Kyrgyzstan - China railway Russia’s participation in the project is being considered.
Head of the department of strategic development, economy and finance policy of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Imanaliev, negotiations are underway with Russia on the development of railway infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan.
“As for the construction of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway, here the possibility of Russia's participation in this project is being considered. The construction agreement will be conducted between the participating countries that are involved in the project. But at this stage we are considering the possibility of discussing these issues, including the possible participation of Russia in it,” he explained.
Assembly of "KamAZ". A large engineering project is entering the implementation stage in Kyrgyzstan.
Chairman of the Board of Feldman Group, Evgeny Feldman during the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference in Bishkek said that with the assistance of their company, the largest Russian company KamAZ is integrating into the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
“We are now talking about the presence of the largest company in the Kyrgyz market. We are already discussing the project and within three months the implementation will begin. We are preparing a service and dealer base, we are considering the option of participating in the transport infrastructure,” he explained.

At the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian interregional conference, deputy director general of Prodimex, the largest Russian company, which provides sugar for a quarter of Russia, Dmitry Piskunov, said that a single market had been created within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Accordingly, all movements of goods within the union are not taxed.
“Sugar is a product that the whole world is trying to protect with high price duties. The EAEU countries are already protecting the common market in the form of duties against cheap raw sugar from India and Brazil. We have protected our domestic market. Now our task is to coordinate the efforts of all manufacturers within this market so that we develop this industry together. Perhaps it will be in the form of a joint venture between Russian and Kyrgyz companies,” he said.
The contract for billions. The Russian JSC "Rosgeology" and the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of Kyrgyzstan signed a cooperation agreement for $ 1.2 billion. The deal was made during the state visit of President of the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statements of the Russian side, the main goal of the signed agreement is the development of the mineral resource base of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan has many places in which potentially large reserves of natural wealth can be found that have not yet been explored.
"Ruselprom" and the Kyrgyz Republic. The Investments Protection and Promotion Agency of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian energy-technology concern “Ruselprom” concluded a memorandum of cooperation worth $ 1.5 billion. The document was signed as part of the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian interregional conference in Bishkek during the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan.
“The memorandum deals with the implementation of a package of investment projects in the field of hydropower. More meat to the Russia. Russia plans to import 10,000 tons of beef from Kyrgyzstan per week.

Gas for all. The plan for the gasification of Kyrgyzstan will be fulfilled by 60% by 2030, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a joint press conference as part of his state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
He said that a lot of work is underway to implement the master plan for gasification and gas supply in Kyrgyzstan until 2030.
“Russian concern invested 16 billion rubles out of the stipulated 100 billion rubles. As a result, the level of gasification of the country increased from 25% to 30%. I am sure that a plan will be implemented to bring this figure up to 60%,” Putin said.
ADB’s money for HPP. The Asian Development Bank has approved a $100 million financing package to modernize aging equipment and improve power generation capacity at the Uch-Kurgan hydropower plant (HPP), the oldest of the six HPPs installed along the Naryn River cascade in the Kyrgyz Republic.
ADB’s assistance, comprised of a $60 million loan and a $40 million grant from the Asian Development Fund, will help to strengthen the Kyrgyz Republic’s energy self-sufficiency and increase its potential for renewed energy exports to neighboring countries in Central Asia. ADB will also administer a $45 million loan from the Eurasian Development Bank for the project.
New technical regulations. Seven more technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union will come into force in Kyrgyzstan until 2021.
According to head of the technical regulation and metrology department of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Shabdanov, there are a total of 47 technical regulations in the EAEU, of which 40 have already entered into force in Kyrgyzstan.
The remaining 7 technical regulations, except for dairy products, are non-food.
