Consultative platform. The Ministry of Economy and its Center for Standardization and Metrology of the Kyrgyz Republic created a consultative platform with the support of the Asian Development Bank to improve opportunities and mitigate risks during the adaptation period of the Kyrgyz Republic to integrate Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This is important for business communities, government agencies and all interested parties, since the problems in education in the field of technical regulation remain relevant, in particular, in lack of knowledge of the rules for the circulation of products in the EAEU markets.
All questions of interest are consulted by well-known experts and leading experts in the following areas:
- in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology and conformity assessment;
- using standards to meet the requirements of the EAEU;
- labeling features (for individual and group packaging, shipping container);
- on issues of product certification and the adoption of declarations of conformity;
- management systems, in order to increase competitiveness, stimulate exports and to raise awareness of food manufacturers in compliance with ISO 22000 food safety standards, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) principles, as well as ISO 9001 standards
GSP + status. Kyrgyzstan does not use the full potential of Generalised scheme of preferences (GSP) + preferences.
Head of the Central Asia Department of the European External Relations Service Boris Yaroshevich told that the potential is not used even by 50%. The main reasons Yaroshevich called the lack of appropriate quality products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan.
“There is also a question for laboratories and their evaluation of goods. We are ready to support Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to enter the European market,” he said.
When asked whether the EU is planning to provide the necessary assistance to Kyrgyzstan, Yaroshevich said that the EU could equip the Kyrgyz Republic with the necessary laboratories.
Three groups of licenses. The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic has developed a draft law “On the licensing system in the Kyrgyz Republic”.
The bill involves the division of licenses into three groups:
1. The right of access to nationwide resources:
a) for activities with limited resources or using quotas;
2. Foreign trade activities;
3. Permit for activities related to danger:
Licenses for the right of access to national resources are issued on a competitive / tender basis.
Fund for farmers. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) increased in 2018 the financing of agriculture in the regions by 14-15%.
Since the beginning of 2018, the Fund has increased funding for entrepreneurs in regions engaged in the processing of agricultural products and trying to export. This work is carried out within the framework of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on declaring 2018 the Year of Regional Development.
Chairman of the Fund Erkin Asrandiev said that regional centers have been established in all the regions to provide advice to local entrepreneurs. “We have opened regional consulting centers in all regional centers, which provide advice and explain the conditions for financing through the RKDF. They also assist in the preparation of business plans and the necessary documents to obtain funding,” he said.
In addition, in April of this year, the Fund lowered the threshold amount of funding in the framework of direct financing from a million dollars to 300 thousand US dollars. In other words, now regional entrepreneurs have gained wider access to financing through the RKDF.
Activity of Ayil Bank. The Bank has increased the funding of projects in the regions of Kyrgyzstan from 9 billion up to 12 billion soms.

He said that by attracting funds from foreign credit companies, Ayil Bank reduced interest rates on agricultural loans from March 2018 - from 20% to 18% and due to additional capitalization and further growth of assets in 2019, it will be possible to reduce interest rates from 18% up to 16%.
Conquerring India. From Nov. 14 to Nov. 27, 2018, the 38th Annual International Trade Exhibition "India International Trade Fair-2018" was organized in New Delhi.
Kyrgyzstan takes a traditional part in it. This year, the republic presented products manufactured under the Arslanbob brand. Visitors of the exhibition praise the quality and the indescribable taste of Kyrgyz dried fruit and honey.
Tourism in Kyrgyzstan. From January to September of the current year, 472 facilities carried out activities to serve tourists in Kyrgyzstan.
According to data of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, 188 of them are specialized facilities, which include sanatoriums, boarding houses, houses and recreation centers, as well as sports and recreation camps and complexes.
In addition, 187 hotels and hostels provided temporary accommodation services in the country, and 60 travel agencies and tour operators were involved in organizing itineraries.
Calculations showed that 900 guest houses in the territory of Issyk-Kul region accommodated tourists during this period. This shows that the main part of tourist organizations is concentrated in this region - 37.5%.
