Call-center works. 49 thousand taxpayers called addressed the Call Center of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic for advice on the most topical issues related to taxation during 10 months of 2018.
This is by 4 thousand 624 more calls compared to the same period in 2017, when 44 thousand 377 calls were received.
Most of all, taxpayers asked about tax administration within the Eurasian Economic Union and other tax issues. For example, about 30% of calls were related to VAT administration issues on taxable supplies and 25% of calls - to VAT administration on imports.
Also, about 10% of citizens were interested in filling out and submitting a single tax return, including the declaration of income and expenses of state and municipal employees.
The work of customs. Kyrgyzstan became a full member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on August 12, 2015. The State Tax Service is responsible for administration of goods imported to the Kyrgyz Republic from the EAEU member countries.
Prior to the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEU, the main share of the customs payments were received from goods imported from the EAEU member countries.
After the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEU, there is an annual increase in customs payments on average more than 6.5 billion soms.
For disaster risk management. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved $38.6 million in development financing to help modernize irrigation systems, improve agriculture and land management, strengthen disaster risk management, and enhance data collection and analysis in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The project, comprising a $21.8 million loan and a $16.8 million grant from the Asian Development Fund, will focus on the Ferghana Valley in the southwestern part of the country and the Chui River Basin in the north, both of which are vulnerable to flooding, mudflows, and drought exacerbated by climate change. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic will contribute $5 million to the project.
RKDF to Aiyl Bank. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) has increased the credit limit for Aiyl Bank OJSC to $ 5 million.
“The support of small and medium-sized businesses is one of the key areas of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. To date, the SME Support Program is implemented by 13 partner banks of the RKDF and 2 micro-credit organizations; Aiyl Bank OJSC is the leader in this support.
Since the start of cooperation with RKDF, Aiyl Bank OJSC has financed 390 projects worth more than $ 35 million in the agro-industrial sector, clothing, textile and manufacturing industries. The bank carried out effective work on the selection and implementation of priority projects. Because of a large number of applications for loans through this line, Aiyl Bank OJSC requested the RKDFto increase the credit limit.
Scales for coal. At the Kara-Keche coal deposit in Naryn oblast, Russian electronic weighing equipment was installed with software 1 “C”, purchased and installed by the Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise for 2.5 million soms.
This equipment will speed up the process of weighing transported coal from the mine.
Coal mining and loading is ongoing at the Kara-Keche coal mine. The capacity of one scale per day is 200-250 trucks with high-quality coal. Installing a second scale will increase the capacity up to 550 cars per day.
Burian promotes. The European Union is ready to continue to support Kyrgyzstan in using the opportunities of the GSP + status, visiting EU Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian told in Bishkek.
A discussion of the actions and plans concerning this issue took place during the meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov.
“The process of using this system involves the process of raising product standards. We want to help in this regard through our programs so that the standards, especially of agricultural products, will rise and meet the standards that can open access to our market,” said Burian.
The budget for 2019. The growth of the economy of Kyrgyzstan in 2019 is projected at 4%. At the meeting of the Parliament, the deputies considered the draft law “On the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019 and the forecast for 2020-2021”.
In 2020, economic growth is projected at 4.4%, in 2021 - 4.2%. These indicators will be achieved due to the growth of sectors of the economy: services, construction, agriculture and industry.
Money of migrants. $ 1 billion 970.5 million were transferred to Kyrgyzstan from abroad in the first nine months of 2018. According to data of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, this amount is by 7.1% or to $130.9 million more than in January-September 2017.
Of this, almost 90% were transferred from Russia - $ 1 billion 934.5 million. From Kyrgyzstan to other countries $ 388.3 million was transferred in the first nine months of 2018.
According to data of the State Migration Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, more than 750 thousand Kyrgyz citizens are in labor migration abroad, 80% of them are in Russia, 10% in Kazakhstan, another 10% are in other countries.
