Kyrgyzstan's exports falls by almost quarter in 2019

Bishkek, July 11, 2019. /Kabar/. According to preliminary data, the foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in January- March 2019 has amounted to USD 2.7 billion, the press service of the National Statistics Committee reported.

Compared to January-May 2018, the turnover decreased by 2.6%, while export supplies increased by 3.7% and import revenues decreased by 4.7%.

In January-May 2019, the volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU member states amounted to about $997 million and increased by 4.6% compared to January-May 2018.

At the same time, there was a decrease in exports by 24.3%, while import revenues, on the contrary, increased by 16.6%. The largest share of mutual trade between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EAEU member states was in Russia (59.1%) and Kazakhstan (38.6%).
