Bishkek, March 27, 2021 / Kabar /. First Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov met with Head of the World Bank Office in the Kyrgyz Republic Navid Naqvi, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reported.
During the meeting, Novikov noted that the World Bank is a reliable partner of the government in the implementation of joint projects in the field of health and social protection, education, agriculture, emergency prevention, ecology and others.
The first deputy prime minister expressed gratitude to the World Bank for the assistance provided in the fight against the consequences of the economic crisis and the implementation of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
In the near future, within the framework of joint projects, 1200 schools will be equipped with 25 thousand sets of modern computer equipment. The work on the installation of computed tomographs in the republican hospital will be accelerated, the issue of equipping school medical offices within the framework of the project "School Medicine" being launched, and projects to support agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses will be discussed.
Artem Novikov stressed that there will be no delays in the implementation of projects by the government. There will also be prepared proposals and projects aimed at restoring economic activity in the Kyrgyz Republic for the possible participation of the World Bank in their implementation.
