Kyrgyzstan’s main sporting body renamed

Bishkek, Feb.13, 2020. /Kabar/. The Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic (FFKR) has been renamed as the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU).

The FFKR’s press service promised to provide detailed information in the near future.

The Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic is the governing body of football in Kyrgyzstan.

The organization controls the Kyrgyzstan national football team, Kyrgyzstan national futsal team and sponsors the top league of Kyrgyz football.

FFKR holds the national championships of the country together with the second football organization in the republic - Football League of Kyrgyzstan (FLK).

The Federation was established in 1992, in 1994 it became a member of FIFA and AFC.

Kanatbek Mamatov serves as President of the Federation since February 2019.
