Bishkek, March 7 / Kabar /. The foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic is wholly subordinated to the interests of the people, Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybay Tursunbekov said in his interview to Argumenty nedeli, the Russian weekly newspaper.
He said that it must be predictable, consistent and cost-effective.
“The international community should see Kyrgyzstan as a reliable partner, which clearly fulfills its international obligations and follows the norms of international law,” he said.
The Kyrgyz Speaker said that the foreign policy is aimed at deep “reloading” of relations with neighboring states - Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Bringing to a new level the strategic cooperation with Russia is a priority direction of foreign policy.
The Speaker also named as priorities a reliable system of collective security within the framework of the CSTO, integration of the country in the Eurasian Economic Union, development of mutually beneficial political and economic international relations with the US, EU, other countries.
