Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade amounted to about $ 6 billion in 2018, Vice Prime Minister Jenish Razakov told at the Business Eurasia. Ways of Business Development economic forum.
He noted that compared to 2017, this figure increased by 6.25%, exports grew by 1%, imports – by 8%.
“The EAEU sets goals for modernizing the economy, achieving technological leadership, building a global value chain. One of the innovations is the labeling of goods. The agreement on the labeling of goods by means of identification of the EAEU was signed on February 2, 2018 in Almaty,” he recalled.
Razakov drew attention to the fact that Kyrgyzstan is at the stage of formation and development of product labeling. At the same time, in Belarus, marking is valid for 23 groups of goods, in Russia for 10 groups of goods.
The Vice Prime Minister noted that the EAEU has 5 main objectives, including digital trading, building transport corridors, cooperation, data turnover and regulatory sandboxes for project implementation.
“Kyrgyzstan offers its own integration directions. First, the integration of B2B, the second, the creation of a single platform of credit histories. On January 18, the EEC Council considered a proposal regarding promising integration projects aimed at deepening,” he added and urged the business community not to stand aside and come up with its own initiatives.
Razakov also noted the work to remove barriers that prevent the introduction of negotiations with third countries.
