In 2020, Kyrgyzstan's economy suffered the most among countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Economy and Finance of the republic Akylbek Zhaparov said during a meeting of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov with the business community.
However, a dynamic of growth is observed today.
"In the first quarter of this year, the foreign trade turnover increased by 14%," the minister said.
Zhaparov added that the coronavirus pandemic hit the weakest sectors of the economy, namely construction, services and industry.
"This trend is not only in our country, but all over the world. Only China has withstood," the official explained.
