Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2024 /Kabar/. Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the FAO/WFP/IFAD Taalai Bazarbaev and Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu met in Rome on August 26.
The diplomatic mission reported that during the meeting the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with the UN FAO, including the substantive part of the upcoming meetings at the level of the country's leadership and the main UN organization on agriculture.
The negotiations on strengthening the legal framework between Kyrgyzstan and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization were also discussed in detail.
In particular, issues of strengthening interaction between Kyrgyzstan and the main UN Organization on agriculture in the field of food security and development of the agricultural complex in the country were discussed.
The Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan expressed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in the implementation of FAO projects in the field of agricultural development and protection of food security.
