Kyrgyzstan’s GDP amounts to almost KGS 285 bln in Jan-July

Bishkek, Aug.13, 2019. /Kabar/. Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to preliminary estimates, in January-July has amounted to KGS 284.4 billion, having increased by 6.9 percent compared to January-July last year, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistics Committee reported.

Excluding the Kumtor mine development enterprise, GDP amounted to KGS 251.8 billion, exceeding the level of January-July last year by 3.1 percent.

GDP growth is mainly driven by industries, construction, agriculture and services. At the same time, the growth rate of the commodity production sectors amounted to 113.0 percent compared to January-July of the previous year (97.9 percent in January-July 2018), the sectors providing services - 102.3 percent (101.6 percent in January-July 2018).

Compared to January-July 2018, the share of the goods producing industries in the GDP structure increased by 2.7 percentage points and amounted to 38.7 %, while the share of the services providing industries, on the contrary, decreased by 1.1 percentage points and amounted to 46.5 %.
