Bishkek, July 30, 2020. /Kabar/. According to preliminary estimates, gross domestic product in January-June 2020 has amounted to KGS 228 billion, and decreased by -5.3% compared to January-June 2019, Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Sanjar Mukanbetov told during a briefing.
The growth of industry has amounted to 0.1%, negative trends were observed in construction, where the decline in volumes was almost 10%, while in agriculture, on the contrary, there was an increase in volumes by 1.6%.
"International financial institutions predict a decline in the world economy from -3 to -10%, and the World Trade Organization forecasts a decrease in world trade turnover to 30% as a whole," said the minister.
