Kyrgyzstan’s GDP volume down by 9% since beginning of 2021

Bishkek, March 11, 2021 . / Kabar /. In January-February 2021, Kyrgyzstan’s volume of gross domestic product amounted to more than KGS 71 billion, head of the Economic Statistics and National Accounts Department of the republic’s National Statistics Committee Elvira Isenkulova said at a press conference at the Statistics Committee.

She added that preliminary data during the period under review are 8.9% less compared to the same period of 2020.

"Excluding enterprises for the development of Kumtor deposit, the volume of GDP made about KGS 64 billion and decreased by 5.3%. The volume of industrial production amounted to more than KGS 45 billion, and compared to January 2020 decreased by 13%,” the specialist informed.
