In January-June 2021, the growth of consumer prices and tariffs in the country as a whole amounted to 7.3% compared to December 2020, Chinara Turdubayeva, the head of the Department of Summary Work and Dissemination of Statistical Information of the National Statistics Committee said during a press conference.
The prices of food products and soft drinks increased by 11%, alcoholic drinks and tobacco products - by 7.7%, non-food products - by 4.1%, tariffs for the services provided to the population - by 1.2%.
Turdubayeva added that prices of potatoes rose by 1.7 times, sugar by 22.5%, vegetable oils by 22.8%, mutton by 17.8%, fresh vegetables by 32.1%, fresh fruit by 18.8%, fish by 7.7%.
