Bishkek, March 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Niyazbekov and his delegation have arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit, the press service of the Interior Ministry of the republic said on Tuesday.
Niyazbekov's visit to the neighboring republic was held as part of implementation of bilateral agreements reached following a state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan on March 11-12 this year.
An official meeting of Interior Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov and Uzbekistan Pulat Bobozhonov took place on March 23.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral inter-ministerial cooperation, including the fight against crime, the search for those who are fugitives from investigation and trial, cross-border cooperation, intensifying the exchange of professional experience, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
In addition, Nizyabekov got acquainted with the progress of reforms in the internal affairs bodies, the productivity of the introduction of information technology, as well as the results of work with the population in the mahallas, aimed at reducing crime and the prevention of offenses.

As a result of the constructive dialogue, the parties agreed to take a number of urgent, as well as systematic and long-term measures to implement cooperation at a qualitatively new level.
Further, as part of the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation led by Minister Niyazbekov familiarized with the activities of the Main Department of Tashkent city Internal Affairs and the Main Department of Traffic Safety of the Interior Ministry.

The Kyrgyz Interior Ministry also plans to visit and study the activities of the Departments of Internal Affairs in Namangan and Fergana Regions.
