Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast imposes restrictions due to COVID-19 situation

Bishkek, July 2, 2020. /Kabar/. An epidemiological situation in Issyk-Kul Oblast remains dangerous, Governor Akylbek Osmonaliyev told during a briefing.

According to his data, 139 cases of coronavirus infection were identified in the oblast, 60% of which were recorded over the past two weeks. Several restrictions have been imposed in connection with this and beginning of tourist season.

"An oblast headquarters held its meeting today, which resulted in adoption a decision to completely stop a movement of public transport on Saturdays. This applies to inter-regional and inter-city transport. Also markets, bazaars will be closed for one day for disinfection," he added.
