Bishkek, July 3, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Governor of Issyk-Kul Oblast Ainura Sultanbaeva met a delegation from Wakayama Prefecture of Japan, headed by deputy Mori Reiko.
According to the regional administration, the meeting was held as part of strengthening interregional cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
During the meeting, issues of developing social, cultural and economic ties between the Issyk-Kul Oblast and Wakayama Prefecture were discussed. Ainura Sultanbaeva emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral relations, noting the significant potential for cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, medicine and exchange of experience in the agricultural sector.
Particular attention was paid to the development of education. The parties discussed the possibility of exchanging students and teachers, as well as the implementation of joint educational projects. Ainura Sultanbaeva expressed interest in the experience of the Japanese side in the field of innovative educational programs and technologies.
“Issyk-Kul Oblast and Wakayama Prefecture have a lot in common, and we see great opportunities for joint work. We are confident that strengthening our ties will benefit both sides,” Sultanbaeva said.
Deputy Mori Reiko expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the Japanese side’s readiness to expand cooperation. She also noted Wakayama Prefecture's interest in joint projects in the field of ecology and innovation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop joint programs and activities aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and exchange of experience.
